Today’s interim report from NIBE shows both higher sales and profits.
“We’ve opened strong in 2015 with sound growth in sales and profits alike. One contributing
factor is our acquisitions of the North American companies WaterFurnace and Enertech, the effect of which is being felt in full, and our steadily growing market shares. As can only be expected, we have benefited immensely from the weakened Swedish krona,” says NIBE Group CEO Gerteric Lindquist.
“Because NIBE has become more international, we too are affected by the global economic cycle. We can ascertain that demand in Europe remains hesitant while both North America and Asia show a healthy growth. NIBE has evolved. Just a few years ago practically all our business was in Europe. Today, one quarter of our consolidated sales is outside Europe.
“Our corporate philosophy and focus on conserving energy and sustainability puts us right on point. External factors such as economic developments, currency fluctuations and oil prices can be cause for concern, but our continued internal streamlining efforts and good readiness to make more acquisitions leaves us cautiously optimistic about the year as a whole,” comments Gerteric Lindquist.
