Year-end report 2006

2006 – a strong and very successful year for NIBE.

The summary of the NIBE Group’s Annual Report for 2006 published today charts what is by far the Group’s best ever performance, both in terms of sales and profits.

• Sales rose by almost 30% to SEK 4,958 million (2005 figure: SEK 3,819 million)
• Profit after net financial items rose to SEK 501 million (SEK 273 million)
• Earnings per share totalled SEK 3.74 (SEK 1.94)
• The Board proposes a shareholders’ dividend of SEK 1.15/share (SEK 0.75)
• Four acquisitions with an international focus during 2006

“All three business areas are continuing to capture new shares of the market. Of the Group’s total growth of 30%, no less than 22% is organic. Such strong growth owes much to the success of our product development work and to our aggressive marketing,” says Gerteric Lindquist, CEO for NIBE Industrier.

“A strong economy and good market conditions combined with brisk demand for eco-friendly and energy-saving products are external factors that have also worked in NIBE’s favour.

“Over the years we have grown accustomed to recording the successes of NIBE Heating and NIBE Stoves, so it is now particularly gratifying to be able to report that NIBE Element is also making positive progress.

“We believe that 2007 can be another successful year for NIBE, with strong demand, further improvements in our foreign sales and continued new gains in our market shares. This view has been further confirmed by our strong performance over the first few weeks of the new year,” says Gerteric Lindquist.

The Annual General Meeting of NIBE will take place in Markaryd on 15 May 2007 at 5 p.m. (17.00).
